OpenAI said ChatGPT Health is integrating with Epic's electronic health-record system so clinicians can import patient data and ask questions using AI. In certain systems, ChatGPT will also appear directly in EHR workflows for pre-visit reviews and clinical timelines. OpenAI says access is read-only and the system does not write back to records. Epic holds data for more than 325 million patients, according to the report.
