Gravity Gardens, a Nijmegen-based agtech startup founded in 2024, has secured a €2.6 million seed round combining equity investment with EFRO regional development funding, supported by VP Capital, Brightlands Venture Partners and Graduate Ventures alongside private investors.

The company says its seed activation process uses no water, no chemicals and leaves no coating on the seed, in contrast to conventional wet priming that it says has only been economic for high-value vegetable and flower seed. Gravity Gardens reports seven external trials, including validation work by Vertify, and plans to develop industrial-scale equipment with Dutch engineering group Demcon, targeting market readiness during 2027.
