Anthro Energy broke ground Tuesday on a Louisville, Kentucky factory planned to produce 25 gigawatt-hours of battery electrolytes, an amount the company says could serve more than 300,000 electric vehicles. Production is scheduled for 2028. The project received a $24.9 million Department of Energy award, $18.4 million in investment tax credits and $2.3 million in Kentucky incentives tied to 110 permanent jobs. Anthro says the plant will supply domestic, foreign-entity-of-concern-free materials.
