Intel shares fell by as much as 30% on Friday after the chipmaker forecast lower-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue and said it would increase AI spending despite weaker computer demand, the BBC reported. The Nasdaq fell over 3.5% as several technology stocks declined. Finance chief David Zinsner said Thursday that Intel did not expect to bring in more cash than it spent this year. He said the PC slowdown would continue at least through the first half of next year. Equipment investment rose significantly in the third quarter, with an even more significant increase expected in the following three months.
