Meta says smart-glasses update stops recording when capture LED is covered

Meta says a software update is beginning to roll out to Ray-Ban smart glasses and Meta Smart Glasses that stops the camera when the capture LED is covered during a recording. The change closes a cited bypass: recordings previously could start with the LED visible and continue after it was covered. Meta says the glasses already block recordings from starting if the LED is blocked and automatically disable the camera if the LED is covered, tampered with or destroyed.
