OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna to Codex and ChatGPT Work, according to release notes and an announcement reproduced by 9to5Mac. Both models cost 50% less through the API than the promotional prices of their GPT-5.6 predecessors and are designed to use fewer tokens.

Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu users can access both models, subject to rollout and workspace controls; Free and Go users receive Luna in the desktop app. Enterprise administrators must enable them, and neither model is available in ordinary ChatGPT conversations.
