US imposes tariffs of up to 100% on foreign drones

The Trump administration imposed tariffs of as much as 100% on foreign drones, according to the New York Times summary carried by Techmeme. The summary says the top rate applies to models weighing more than 55 pounds or equipped with thermal imaging, as the administration seeks to curb Chinese competition. It also says the FCC is weighing restrictions on technologies including thermal imaging and aerosol spraying.
