# Google links slower search growth to AI Mode monetization

Google's search revenue rose 12% year over year to $63.25B in Q3 2026, compared with 14.5% growth in Q3 2025, The Register reported. Google attributed the slowdown to lower monetization in AI Mode.

The company spent $51 billion on infrastructure and still needs to rent compute from others to run its cloud.
