# Lynk Global and Omnispace complete merger as Elveo Mobile

Low-Earth-orbit satellite operators Lynk Global and Omnispace finalized their merger on August 17 and launched the combined company, Elveo Mobile.

Elveo says it will provide direct satellite connectivity to mobile phones, devices and machines in multiple frequency bands. The combined entity brings Omnispace's 60MHz of globally coordinated S-band spectrum and multi-band satellite technology to its direct-to-device network. Lynk currently has five small LEO satellites and has commercial agreements with more than 50 mobile network operators covering more than 50 countries.
