Waymo says it has airport authorization for Las Vegas autonomous testing
Image: Primary Waymo said it recently received permission to drive fully autonomously at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
The company said it will initially offer autonomous airport trips to employees while preparing to open the service to the public. Nevada transportation commissioners also approved applications for Waymo, Tesla Robotaxi and Aviari Services to operate autonomous-vehicle network companies, but airport service requires separate authorization from the Clark County Department of Aviation.
The airport had not responded to FOX5's request for details.
