Researchers behind the PowerAtlas preprint report that selected model checkpoints reduced constraint violations by 89-98% and penalized cost by up to 26x relative to base models when scheduling computing tasks alongside electricity generation. Tests covered 10-40 paired instances per backbone, and residual electricity supply deficits remained.

The system generates a joint schedule in one response without solver calls or retrieval, after training on deterministic scoring feedback. The researchers also released ECBench, containing 2,000 instances with optimal reference schedules and executable checks for grid limits, task service, cost, and latency.
