SK Hynix expects demand for RAM and flash memory to exceed supply through 2030, citing the difficulty of advanced manufacturing processes and the time needed to build factories. The Apple supplier says AI demand continues to drive growth while supply struggles to keep pace.

Its long-term agreements with 14 technology buyers cover more than half its output during 2027 and 2028. Those agreements secure priority orders but allow prices to reflect market conditions within an agreed range, leaving buyers exposed to increases despite their supply commitments.
