Dropbox told affected users that unauthorized parties accessed their accounts between August 4 and August 21 after a problem involving Lenovo ID sign-in, according to an email published by 9to5Mac. Dropbox said its logs showed no evidence that files were viewed or downloaded. The company said it fixed the issue and expired sessions previously authenticated through a Lenovo ID. The report says the incident involved attackers registering Lenovo IDs with victims' email addresses.
