Drone strike reportedly damages Russian finance ministry data center

a Russian warehouse on fire after being hit by a drone Image: Primary
Drones damaged a Russian Ministry of Finance data center near Gorodets that reportedly housed state registries, including the Federal Taxation Service's tax database, Tom's Hardware reported, citing Data Center Dynamics. The facility is some 230 miles east of the Kremlin and over 600 miles from the frontlines. DCD, citing Russian media, described the facility as one of two key Federal Tax Service processing centers operating across geographically distributed locations. Damage could affect Russian state information systems, although that potential impact does not establish an actual service outage. The attack follows other Ukrainian strikes on Russian data centers since the start of October.
