OpenAI said it will wind down Cursor's direct access to its AI models, setting a proposed Nov. 12 cutoff after SpaceX acquired Cursor parent Anysphere. The company said it provided the maximum notice permitted under its contract and cited concerns about use of its technology under OpenAI's terms. Cursor chief executive Michael Truell said OpenAI models account for roughly 5% of platform traffic and that most users should not be meaningfully affected; Cursor and OpenAI are discussing a resolution.
