Claude AI subscriptions now priced in rupees: Check Claude Pro, Max and Team plans in India

Anthropic announced it has rolled out India-specific pricing for its Claude AI assistant, allowing customers to pay for subscriptions directly in Indian rupees instead of US dollars. The update is being introduced across Claude's web platform and mobile apps, where eligible users are beginning to see local pricing with GST included in the listed prices. Claude Pro is priced at Rs 2,000 per month with annual billing or Rs 2,399 per month when billed monthly. Claude Max is available in two tiers priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 23,999 per month, offering substantially higher usage limits aimed at developers, researchers and heavy AI users. Claude Team starts at Rs 2,399 per user per month with annual billing, while Claude Team Premium is priced at Rs 11,999 per user per month. The company says India has become one of its fastest-growing markets for Claude and is now its second-largest market globally after the United States, accounting for 5.8% of the chatbot's worldwide user base. The local pricing announcement follows a series of investments by Anthropic in the Indian market, including opening its first India office in Bengaluru earlier this year and partnering with fintech company Razorpay to help businesses integrate Claude into AI-powered products and services.
