Italian infrastructure software company Clastix has raised €2.9 million in its first external funding round, led by CDP Venture Capital with participation from Mistral and Vertis SGR. Clastix plans to use the seed capital for product development, customer support and expansion into new markets.

Its software helps enterprises run multiple Kubernetes environments, the systems used to manage containerized applications, on shared infrastructure. Mistral says it uses Clastix technology for AI training and inference clusters. The company's plans to expand its team and serve larger customers remain prospective.
