AEP Ohio has secured $18 million from five data-center companies for its Neighbor to Neighbor program, which provides grants to households facing electric-bill hardship. Meta committed $2 million annually for five years; QTS committed $1 million annually for three years; Amazon committed $2.5 million; SoftBank Energy $1 million; and Google $500,000 plus another $500,000 for efficiency upgrades. The Dollar Energy Fund will manage the first-come, first-served grants.
