GrapheneOS says it cannot complete its Pixel 11 port because the phones lack support for ARM hardware memory tagging in software and firmware, with hardware support also considered almost certainly absent. The project has a partial port after a week of work and may skip the series.

Memory tagging helps protect against memory-related exploits. GrapheneOS uses it throughout its base operating system, including the kernel and standard processes, with limited device-specific exceptions.

The project recommends Pixel 8, 9 and 10 devices instead. It acknowledges Pixel 11 improvements, including post-quantum verified boot, but has not decided whether to abandon support.
