Anthropic has opened a research-preview waitlist for Claude Duet, starting with US Pro and Max subscribers, according to a note article quoting its announcement. The assistant monitors connected apps, sends morning briefs and flags items it considers urgent.

Anthropic says Duet runs in a virtual machine with its own browser, so users' devices can stay off. It waits for approval before important actions and has separate iOS and Android apps alongside access through claude.ai.

Background checks count toward existing Claude usage limits. Anthropic warns that Duet can misread threads or urgency, and it cannot yet show users its browser.
