Andon Labs says it has released Pion, a research-preview platform for running businesses with persistent AI agents, and is accepting waitlist sign-ups.

The company says Pion agents can use email, phone, banking, browsers and secure computing environments. Andon describes prior tests in which agents ran vending machines, a San Francisco retail store and a Stockholm cafe; it says the latter two businesses are not profitable. The company says it plans expanded monitoring as it opens the platform to more experiments.
