# Vercel lists free Pixel Canary coding model on AI Gateway

Vercel has made an anonymous coding model called Pixel Canary available through its AI Gateway, according to Startup Fortune. The model is also free to use in Cline while it remains in preview.

Vercel's Next.js coding benchmark shows Pixel Canary passing 28 of 31 tasks, matching GPT-6 Astra on that test. The result rises to 30 of 31 when the agent receives Next.js documentation. Vercel controls the benchmark, and the model's developer has not been identified. Vercel's listing also says prompts may be used for training and offers no zero-data-retention option.
