Ericsson to merge Asian units and move private 5G into Networks Image: Primary
Ericsson will combine its two Asian market areas into a single Asia-Pacific operation from 1 January 2027, The Next Web reported. Patrick Johansson, currently head of Europe, Middle East and Africa, will lead the combined operation. The company will also break up Enterprise Wireless Solutions, moving Neutral Host solutions and Ericsson Private 5G into Networks. Wireless WAN will remain a standalone business reporting to Americas head Yossi Cohen. Chief financial officer Lars Sandström said Ericsson would pass higher component costs to customers when existing contracts expire. CEO Per Narvinger said some quarterly demand came from customers buying before price increases.
