MacRumors reported that private frameworks in iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate show Apple has built Siri mechanisms for third-party model delegation and inference providers.

A demonstration showed a Claude extension handling a request before Siri created a reminder, while another protocol appeared to let an external model receive Siri tool definitions and request system actions. The released macOS candidate currently limits the visible extension implementation to ChatGPT; Apple has not opened the relevant entitlement to third parties or made the broader capability user-facing.
