Dimension Capital, a New York venture firm founded in late 2022, announced an $800 million third fund focused on companies at the intersection of science and compute, TechCrunch reported. The vehicle is 60% larger than the firm's $500 million second fund, announced about 18 months earlier.

Partners Zavian Dar and Adam Goulburn, formerly of Lux Capital, launched the firm with Nan Li, an Obvious Ventures alum. Their thesis was that founders would increasingly build deep-tech companies spanning biotech and software.

Among portfolio examples cited by TechCrunch, Dimension co-led a $30 million seed round in Chai Discovery in 2024; the open-source AI drug-development startup later raised $400 million at a $3.8 billion valuation. The firm also backed anti-aging startup New Limit at its Series A in January 2025; New Limit, co-founded by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, later completed a Series C at a $3.1 billion valuation. Other notable holdings named in the report include inference company Modal Labs and Anthropic, in which Dimension received shares after Anthropic acquired portfolio company Coefficient Bio this spring for a reported $400 million.
