4basebio announced an agreement to supply clinical-grade synthetic DNA for an unnamed pharmaceutical company's upcoming Phase I cell therapy trial. The agreement extends an existing customer relationship into a cell therapy program and gives 4basebio a role in producing material for a clinical-stage treatment.

TriLink BioTechnologies has been selected to manufacture the trial's mRNA drug substance using the DNA supplied by 4basebio. TriLink will use its CleanCap technology, which adds a cap during mRNA production. The trial is upcoming; the announcement does not say that patients have received the therapy.
