Systems with 64GB of memory fell 18% year over year in CPU-Z's active user base, while 32GB configurations fell 2.5%, Tom's Hardware reported. The publication linked the shift to rising memory prices as AI demand consumes DRAM supply.

Configurations with 16GB rose 12.9%, while 24GB configurations increased 19.7%. DDR4's share grew 6%, while DDR5 declined 2.9%. CPU-Z measures systems running its hardware identification software; these figures describe that population and do not measure retail sales.
