Ferm Labs, a Zug-based B2B ingredient startup, secured €3 million to scale its bioprocessing platform, according to EU-Startups.

CDP Venture Capital led the round through its Green Transition Fund/NextGenerationEU, joined by Fund F, Redstone, Loacker and others. Ferm Labs says it will use the capital to expand bioprocessing capacity in South Tyrol, build its European sales force and add research staff. The company says its platform uses non-GMO microbes and sidestreams to make clean-label flavor ingredients; its cost and performance claims were not independently established in the source.
