# Anthropic makes Claude Sonnet 5.5 available across its platforms and major clouds

Anthropic says Claude Sonnet 5.5 is now available through its own platforms, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. The company prices it at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, matching Sonnet 5, but says it generates output more than 30% faster and costs up to 30% less per task in its testing.

Anthropic positions the model for coding and everyday work. It says higher-risk cybersecurity requests will fall back to Sonnet 5 under new safeguards, while routine software development remains available. The company says Opus 5.5 still performs better on complex, open-ended work requiring sustained judgment.
