Cloudflare releases Forge tool for generating API software Image: Primary
Cloudflare has released Forge as open-source software for generating command-line tools, software libraries and documentation from API definitions. Developers can run the pipeline themselves under an Apache 2.0 license. Forge already produces output for Cloudflare's cf command-line tool. Cloudflare says Forge checks API changes in development workflows and creates preview builds so teams can inspect generated tools before releasing changes. It accepts OpenAPI definitions today and lets developers chain generators to create one output from another. Support for other input formats and broader use across Cloudflare's own documentation and software libraries are still planned.
