Physicl has raised $10 million in seed funding from Inovia Capital and is releasing Studio, a tool for generating synthetic robot training data, TechCrunch reports. Studio includes 10,000 3D environments and 100,000 assets representing objects, letting developers construct scenes for specific training problems.

Founder Alex de Vigan is adapting technology developed at his previous company, nfinite, which created 3D product imagery for retailers. Physicl focuses on further training models to handle difficult cases, such as identifying a cup in clutter or shadow.

World-model developer SpAItial collaborated with Physicl as an early customer. Accurately reproducing real-world physics in simulations remains a challenge for the field.
