# Alibaba unveils Zhenwu V900 AI chip and targets 20GW of data-center capacity

Alibaba unveiled its Zhenwu V900 accelerator, which the company says delivers three times the performance of its M890 predecessor and supports high-precision training and low-precision inference. T-Head's specifications list 216GB of memory and 1,200 GB/s of inter-chip bandwidth. Mass production and commercial release are scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

Alibaba also set a target of more than 20GW of global data-center capacity by 2032. Supply-chain shortages constrain that expansion, and the company did not identify where the new facilities would be built.
