# AWS opens simplified SageMaker Studio signup for new accounts

AWS has enabled new customers to enter SageMaker Studio through a simplified signup using an Amazon, Apple, GitHub or Google account, or an email address. AWS says customers can skip phone verification and, for most customers, providing a credit card, with their environment configured automatically.

New customers receive $100 in credits for model training, customization, notebooks and endpoint deployments, with an opportunity to earn an additional $100. Permissions are preconfigured, and eligible accounts receive default access to G5, G6 and G4dn GPU instances.

The Free Tier ends after 6 months or when credits run out, whichever comes first; resource usage then stops automatically. The signup change applies only to new AWS accounts.
