ServiceNow's plugin is available in the OpenAI marketplace as of October 28, the companies said, allowing customers to connect their ServiceNow instance to ChatGPT. Teams can investigate incidents, assess change risks and update records within a conversation. Customers choose which capabilities to expose, while ServiceNow applies their existing business rules and permissions.

The expanded partnership also includes planned development, security and voice capabilities. Security tools are expected to enter early access in January 2027, with general availability planned for the second quarter. Codex integration in ServiceNow's AI Workflow Factory is expected in 2027.
