Google Cloud and RemotiveLabs describe a system for integrating and testing vehicle software in the cloud beyond the cockpit. RemotiveTopology connects Android Automotive OS running in Google's Cuttlefish testing environment to simulated vehicle computers, networks and signals.

The system builds virtual networks from manufacturers' existing network design files and runs on standard Linux tooling. This lets cockpit and driver-assistance software exchange signals before physical test hardware is ready. The companies report more than 10x faster integration cycles in early RemotiveLabs customer engagements. RemotiveTopology is available in Google's Horizon platform, with a simplified open-source vehicle example for developers.
