EDG announces public C++ front-end source under C++ Alliance stewardship

EDG says its C++ compiler front-end source goes public on September 30, with The C++ Alliance becoming its nonprofit home. The transition opens contributions and changes how development is funded while retaining professional maintenance. Community fixes and features will undergo review, initially by experienced EDG developers. Alliance maintenance changes will be published immediately, and organizations can collectively fund larger features. All changes will enter the same public repository, with no early access for funders. The fiscal sponsorship agreement is ready to sign ahead of the transition.
