Uber adds supervised autonomous rides in Zagreb
Image: Primary Uber has begun offering rides with autonomous-driving technology in Zagreb through its app, working with Pony.ai and local fleet operator Verne. The vehicles carry a licensed safety operator, so the service is not yet driverless. Pony.ai supplies its Gen-7 robotaxi technology, Verne runs the fleet and Uber handles rider access. The partners say coverage begins in key parts of Zagreb and will expand gradually, subject to local rules and Uber safety checks.
