Google Home adds automatic local Matter control for Hue bridges

Google Home adds automatic local Matter control for Hue bridges Image: Primary
Google Home is automatically upgrading existing Philips Hue bridges to local Matter control through Google Home hubs, Droid Life reported. Google says the background change requires no re-pairing and delivers faster responses and greater reliability. Matter lets compatible smart-home devices work through a shared control standard. The update also adds local control for compatible Matter devices when users have a compatible hub. Other changes fix camera playback and connection issues and improve Gemini's handling of stop commands. Gemini for Home remains in early access.
