# Google makes storage advisor and expanded batch tools generally available

Google Cloud says its Storage Intelligence advisor and expanded storage batch operations are now generally available to Storage Intelligence customers. The advisor compares daily storage activity and metadata with a project's baseline to flag unusual access, errors, data transfers between regions and growth. It identifies the affected bucket and service account so operators can investigate potential charges or access problems.

Expanded batch operations let customers act across as many as 1,000 buckets in one job, apply filters to select objects and preview changes before running them. The tools are part of the Storage Intelligence subscription. Because the advisor works from daily snapshots, a spike may take up to 24 hours to surface.
