Airwallex announces $320 million fundraise and CFO hire

Airwallex announced on Thursday that it raised $320 million in venture capital funding and appointed Pranav Sood as chief financial officer. The company said the Series H fundraise brings its valuation to $11 billion, a 38% increase from six months prior. Sood returns to Airwallex from Bain Capital's growth equity fund, where he worked on scaling technology businesses across the U.K. and Europe. In his previous tenure at Airwallex, Sood led the initial build-out of the company's EMEA operations.
