xAI announced it has launched Grok 4.3, a new proprietary large language model, and a voice cloning suite called Custom Voices. The company said Grok 4.3 features reasoning as a permanent active state and a 1 million-token context window. The model accepts text and image inputs and outputs text. It is optimized for agentic workflows with access to tools including web search, X search, code execution, and file search. The knowledge cutoff is December 2025. Grok 4.3 API pricing is set at $1.25 per million input tokens and $2.50 per million output tokens for up to 200,000 input tokens, with costs doubling beyond that threshold. The previous model, Grok 4.2, was priced at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens. Grok 4.3 had been in beta testing since April for SuperGrok and X Premium+ subscribers and is now available via the xAI API and partner OpenRouter. Independent evaluator Artificial Analysis said Grok 4.3 marks a significant leap over Grok 4.2 but remains below the state of the art set by OpenAI and Anthropic. The Custom Voices suite clones a voice from a reference clip as short as 120 seconds and mimics delivery patterns. It is available only in the United States, excluding Illinois. Programmatic access is gated to Enterprise plans. Voice Agent API access is billed at $3.00 per hour.
