The company said 2025 was defined by new startup records including the largest private funding round of all time at $40 billion to OpenAI and the largest private valuation ever recorded at SpaceX $800 billion valuation. Crunchbase also noted the largest venture backed acquisition on record with the Wiz $32 billion purchase by Google.
