# Stalwart releases stable mail server with finalized database schema

Stalwart announced version 1.0, its first stable mail and collaboration server release, with a finalized database schema intended to eliminate disruptive migrations during future upgrades. The release also adds full-text search inside PDF and office documents.

The project rewrote parsing, storage access, caching and search. Its internal tests put peak inbound mail throughput on RocksDB at 18,394 messages per second, up from 9,690. A JMAP query on an account with 5 million messages fell from 3.3 seconds to 12 ms. These measurements come from the project's own benchmark and stress-testing program.
