# U.S. officials warn of AI-generated script targeting infrastructure device

U.S. officials warned last week that hackers were actively using an AI-generated exploitation script to target a device commonly found in critical infrastructure, Axios reported. The device has played a key role in attacks on U.S. water systems. Separately, the Telegraph reported Iran-backed hackers breached a U.K. power plant, causing a four-day shutdown; Axios said a security executive had only medium confidence the incidents shared an actor.
