Subversion 1.15 adds optional cache removal to reduce local storage

The Apache Software Foundation released Subversion 1.15 with an option it says can reduce local working-copy storage requirements by up to 50%. The version control software tracks changes to files, including the large files and repositories used by organizations managing terabytes of data. The new Pristines On Demand feature lets users skip locally cached copies of original files and fetch them from the repository server when needed. Subversion traditionally retains those originals on the user's device. Version 1.15 is available for download; choosing the smaller local footprint can increase network communication.
