Fintel buys Mortgage Brain for £38.4m, expanding mortgage software business

Fintel buys Mortgage Brain for £38.4m, expanding mortgage software business Image: Primary
Fintel has acquired Mortgage Brain Holdings for £38.4m, expanding from the 5.8% stake it bought in March 2024, Introducer Today reported. The financial services provider said the acquisition strengthens its Software & Data division and extends its reach into mortgages. Mortgage Brain chief executive Zahid Bilgrami will remain in that role and also lead Fintel's Software & Data division. The acquisition complements Fintel's 49% stake in financial planning software provider Plannr. Earlier this month, Mortgage Brain and Plannr announced an integration that lets advisers move from gathering client information to a mortgage application within one workflow.
