The FDA approved Revolution Medicines' daraxonrasib, marketed as Rasonque, for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who have received prior systemic therapy or are not candidates for multiagent chemotherapy, PharmExec reported.

The once-daily oral RAS(ON) inhibitor becomes the company's first commercial product. The report said approval was based on the 500-patient RASolute 302 phase 3 trial, which compared daraxonrasib with investigator's-choice chemotherapy after prior treatment. Reported adverse events included rash, diarrhea, stomatitis, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, abdominal pain, edema, decreased appetite, and hemorrhage.
