Waymo has begun opening its Las Vegas robotaxi service to public riders on a rolling, invite-only basis after receiving final approval from Nevada transportation regulators. The initial service uses dozens of Ojai minivans in an area including the Strip south of Highway 589 and Boulder Junction. Las Vegas is Waymo's 15th market; the company is authorized to operate up to 1,000 autonomous vehicles in Clark County over the next year.
