AWS adds conditional routing and sequential parsing to CloudWatch pipelines

Amazon Web Services says CloudWatch pipelines now lets customers route log events to different log groups based on processed fields and apply multiple parsers in sequence. The changes let operators separate events by severity, source or type, then apply different retention and access controls to each group. Sequential parsing handles nested formats: one parser can extract a field from a JSON envelope, and a later parser can interpret that field. Customers can configure both capabilities through the AWS console, CLI or SDKs. Availability covers all commercial AWS Regions where CloudWatch pipelines is generally available.
