# Matiks raises $10 million to expand puzzle games and game creation

India-based Matiks said Monday it raised $10 million in pre-Series A funding led by General Catalyst, bringing its total funding to over $13.5 million. The startup plans to expand into new markets and scale Jelo, its experimental platform that lets users create games for others to play.

Matiks said daily users grew from 22,000 earlier this year to over 300,000 by September, when it recorded 2.2 million monthly active users. Its app offers competitive math, logic, memory and puzzle games. The company began testing a subscription this month and plans localization to grow in South Korea and Japan.
